The Best Mona Lisa NFT Collection – CryptoMona

The Best Mona Lisa NFT Collection

What makes the Cryptomona NFT collection the best Mona Lisa NFT collection?

The CryptoMona NFTs combine pixel art concepts with Leonardo da Vinci’s master-piece, the Mona Lisa. The pixels shaping the face of the Mona Lisa were manually placed to maintain the overall symmetry of the Mona Lisa. The Mona Lisa’s eyes were then added using NFT generative processes to create a series.

This is a unique approach combining the best of renaissance art with popular cryptopunk-like art. Simply, there is no other Mona Lisa NFT collection like it.

Another thing that makes this the best Mona Lisa NFT collection is the fact that this collection has been minted on the Ravencoin blockchain. This is important, because unlike most other NFT projects, Ravencoin does not utilize smart contracts for the minting and transferring of digital assets. What this means is that when the NFT is transferred to your asset aware wallet you have complete possession of the NFT. With smart contracts what you get is a reference to a contract. That’s hardly ownership of anytying. Remember, not your keys = not your NFTs.

Why An NFT Based on Mona Lisa?

The Mona Lisa is one of the most recognizable faces in the world. For years, artists have created other pieces of art based on Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece. However, to my knowledge, no artist has ever created pixel art-like images of the Mona Lisa, combined with features of the original Mona Lisa.

After meticulously studying the proportions of the Mona Lisa I came to truly admire da Vinci’s work. The Mona Lisa’s eyes are truly special.

Where to Buy These Mona Lisa NFTs?

CryptoMona Series 2

The second series launched on November, 2021. This series has much bolder colors than the Classic series and it features CryptoMonas with different hair colors.

In this series, I used a higher definition picture of the Mona Lisa’s eyes. In addition, I added some transparency to that image, so that the eyes would blend better with the varying skin tones.

This series also introduces a few traits, such as different hair colors, different style jewelry, headphones and some freakish storm eyes, I am starting to like more and more.

Some of the rarest CryptoMona NFTs from this series are 179, 230 and 251

This series also utilizes an even higher definition image of the Mona Lisa’s eyes. Series 3 features Monas with a skin complexion selected to match the Mona Lisa’s skin color around the eyes.

Series 3 also introduces 3D glasses and half smiling Monas. Both of these traits are rarer than their alternatives.
